WINTER SKINCARE ROUTINE

During the colder months, I, especially, deal with overly dry skin. I can't possibly be the only one, right? Anyways, it's a pain, so I always have to make sure that I have lotion on hand (otherwise my skin cracks and it can be quite the scene). With that said, it seems only logical that my go to brand for skincare is, wait for it...Bath and Body Works!
It seems like every year, B&BW brings out some INCREDIBLE scents, that and their lotions are basically the smoothest things in the entire world. So, of course, I stocked up on quite a few of them, my favorite being Twisted Peppermint, because, for some reason, I just can't seem to shake the scent of peppermint during the month of December...I blame the candy canes. My other favorites include Winter Candy Apple (a true classic) and, like always, Zoella's Creamy Madly Dreamy body lotion because it's INSANE.

I've also become a fan of Zoella Beauty products over the years, as they never fail to leave my skin feeling silky smooth and smelling absolutely AMAZING. I especially like her body scrubs, my favorite being Scrubbing Me Softly from her Tutti Fruity range. However, seeing as her Tutti Fruity range is no longer available, you might enjoy her Pretty Polished body scrub instead. Nonetheless, it's important to exfoliate your skin during the winter months, so you might as well do it with something that smells incredible.

While I use about the same facial cleansers all year round, I definitely try to use more products during the colder months that will help battle my ever-so-irksome dry skin. This year, I invested in a facial scrub made by Clean & Clear (basically the only brand that I trust for everything acne related) that is very similar to my Morning Burst Facial Cleanser. It has about the same feel as a sugar scrub (although a little more gentle on the skin) and it leaves my face feeling fresh and rejuvenated, at least more than what it felt like with just the facial cleanser. After using my facial cleanser AND my facial scrub (every day), I lather up with my trusted Dual Action Moisturizer, making sure that I get as much moisture locked into my skin as possible. And with that, I'm ready for the day!

After the day has been tackled, I like to curl up in some flannel pajamas and turn on some Netflix (my current favorite is Call the Midwife). But once it's time for bed, I treat my skin to my Night Relaxing Deep Cleaning Face Wash, which makes my skin feel nice and clean and ready for a good night's sleep. For extra measure, I add some more moisturizer, which is my attempt at not having to deal with flaky skin throughout the night OR the day. Nonetheless, I can honestly say that it's proven to be effective at both, which makes me quite the happy camper.

There you have it! I hope you liked my little rundown of my winter skincare routine. If you use any products that I didn't mention, please feel free to leave me a comment below and I'll be sure to try them out.
That's all for now...until next time! :)
